A Time to Nourish

Eight of the group arrived safely and took off on the 4th of July for a safari in the Masai Mara. This incredible experience was highlighted by good company, lions on the Mara mating, elephant, hippo, and many other wild animals, a visit to a Masai village and wonderful food at the Fig Tree Camp. All this was our time to prepare for ourselves for work ahead in the village. We returned to Nairobi on Friday afternoon to be greeted by Fredrick, Josette and Debbie who had arrived while we were on safari. Traffic here makes Atlanta seem like a breeze. It took several hours and three vehicles to get to Bush House which is normally a 30 minute drive. A wonderful Kenyan dinner prepared by Solomon was awaiting us when we finally arrived at the Bush House.
Saturday we will begin our work in Kikuyu. Now that we have an internet connection, we will post more often.
